thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, most likely due to the fact that it's in fall and you consume copious amounts of food.

or maybe it's that my family finally takes the time to relax and do nothing, not at each others' throats or stressing every tidbit.

or maybe it's just the colors.

my two next-door-neighbors have persimmon trees in their front yards.

they noticed i took some persimmons, and left a note kindly asking me not to.

i have one ripening on the kitchen table now, and i can't wait to eat it...
