xanthous

there is something so jovial about stuffing this large, yellow, amorphous blob into different spots. it's like a new perspective to filling up empty space with happiness to the point where it's bursting and doesn't fit.
i like it.
i want to see a yellow, bulbous object climbing up a ladder. or walk down the street and see it peering through the windows of an apartment loft.

i wish i were french. or spoke french. or did something french. or went to france.

i'm realizing this blog is just a compilation of everything i hope to be, wish i were, think i need.
i'm ok with that. i think it's good to log your vanity and materialism. i wouldn't go so far to call it my hopes and dreams.

maison darre

whoa. i don't exactly know what happened here. must be the mix of getting sick, the end of the quarter, going to UCLA, and being home.
at any rate, i won't be going anywhere.

formalists

alexi worth. crazy perspectives, amazing geometry, slightly erotic photorealism.

i had the best coffee today, sweet peanut butter noodles, listened to some cat power and oberhofer, and wrote a paper on pathogen-host coevolution.

marc+andrej+oranges

i'm sure this has made the rounds. but upon recent events, i wanted to draw attention to something else.
the one in the striped shirt/polka-dot shirt and red tie is a boy. his name is andrej pejic.
i love it. he's beautiful. maybe my first favorite model.
also, this summer will maybe have me breaking out the bright-striped shirts, those pleated old-man pants hemmed to shorts, and oranges. i'm obsessed with oranges.
this is how i eat oranges lately:

1. get an orange.
2. get a knife.
3. use the knife to cut off the top part of the orange. where the green thing is. cut a circle around it, like you're making a lid for a jack-o-lantern.
4. stab the inside of the orange. move the knife around. get it juicy.
5. squeeze and suck on the orange. mmm. so satisfying.
6. then break it apart and eat the remains.

this sounds so gruesome...i like it ha.
