i've been staring at that top picture for over a week.
i think that means something.
that bottom picture are of tussocks; basically tufts of grass that sometimes grow in the middle of rivers.

red autumn

thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, most likely due to the fact that it's in fall and you consume copious amounts of food.
or maybe it's that my family finally takes the time to relax and do nothing, not at each others' throats or stressing every tidbit.
or maybe it's just the colors.

language

It’s hard to use a word like preserve with a language,” said Robert Holman, who teaches at Columbia and New York Universities ... “It’s not like putting jelly in a jar. A language is used. Language is consciousness. Everybody wants to speak English, but those lullabies that allow you to go to sleep at night and dream — that’s what we’re talking about.”

selby, you never fail to impress me.
today: used my recent knowledge of how to make a rue, an infinite amount of emails, studying for microbiology, and hopefully celebrating a coworker later.
currently: a plum sweatshirt, music by phantogram, and sunshine streaming through my open door on the second floor.
