outerinner
pale/neon fair isle-patterned MA-1 jacket perfectly aligning with the sweater underneath.
this collection is outerwear coming inside, becoming innerwear. like a new context.
it reminds me of those few moments before someone sheds a jacket when entering a room. or when i'm leaving the office building wearing a heavier coat at night.

it looks like that sticky padding you put on the bottom of your cupboards to keep things from slipping and i want it all over my body in clothes form like this.

scanwich
sandwiches are probably my favorite food type.
made by cutting a sandwich in half, and using a scanner to take a portrait of these unique sandwiches.
i love the residual crumbs.

relevant
this picture is four years old, yet i find it so relevant, mostly due to the skirt and shoes.
what person isn't wearing that today?
i love how she split the seams on the shoulder of the cardigan to make a pseudo-collar.
also, baby bangs. young works.

shouldbareshoulder
i've been staring at that top picture for over a week.
i think that means something.
that bottom picture are of tussocks; basically tufts of grass that sometimes grow in the middle of rivers.

i'm thrilled, to say the least.
in other news, it's freezing here.

the end of a quarter is a killer.
i'm embarking on a creative endeavor.
maybe i'll photograph it.

red autumn
thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, most likely due to the fact that it's in fall and you consume copious amounts of food.
or maybe it's that my family finally takes the time to relax and do nothing, not at each others' throats or stressing every tidbit.
or maybe it's just the colors.

language
“It’s hard to use a word like preserve with a language,” said Robert Holman, who teaches at Columbia and New York Universities ... “It’s not like putting jelly in a jar. A language is used. Language is consciousness. Everybody wants to speak English, but those lullabies that allow you to go to sleep at night and dream — that’s what we’re talking about.”
